Online non-contact sheet thickness measurement scheme
When it comes to thickness gauges, everyone must be familiar with them. Thickness gauges are instruments used to measure the thickness of materials and objects. Currently, there are many types of thickness gauges on the market, such as ultrasonic thickness gauges, coating thickness gauges, etc. Another type of thickness gauge is a laser non-contact thickness gauge, which uses the principle of geometric triangulation to measure the distance to the target object by reflecting the laser beam emitted by the sensor back from the surface of the object being measured, and calculating the imaging position on the CCD inside the sensor. Mainly used to detect geometric quantities such as displacement, thickness, vibration, distance, diameter, etc. of objects, and to detect shape and size parameters such as bending, deformation, flatness, and slope of objects. Many people call it a laser thickness gauge, while others call it a laser displacement sensor.
At present, the vast majority of domestic sheet metal manufacturers adopt contact measurement methods. With the increasing demand for quality, online non-contact laser measurement methods are gradually being recognized by everyone. Its advantages are beyond the reach of traditional thickness measurement methods:
Non contact: Laser non-contact measurement, no damage to the surface of the product
High speed: Fast online measurement, continuous detection without pause, achieving automated production
Precision: Accurate measurement, with an accuracy of up to 2um
2、 Measurement principle
The principle of measuring the thickness of non-contact sheet metal is to install two laser displacement sensors on the upper and lower surfaces of the sheet metal, and calculate the thickness of the sheet metal by measuring the distance from the sensors to the surface of the sheet metal. The schematic diagram is as follows:
